A LEGACY IN THE MAKING

Our company’s founder, Les Thompson, is a Florida native. A family/business man and visionary, Mr. Thompson founded Tamco in 1979 in Tampa, FL.

Some four decades later TAMCO from humble beginnings of a small sheet metal shop located in Ybor City with all its richness for history struck again. TAMCO has grown into a leader in the industry of manufacturing metal roofing and roofing related products. TAMCO now operates out of four locations in Florida servicing all of the southeast with state of the art manufacturing, processing equipment. In early 2000, Mr. Thompson further continued his vision by adding a paintline to our arsenal, making TAMCO the only metal roofing manufacturer with its own paintline. The addition of the paintline enables TAMCO to not only paint all its own products in-house and also to control and maintain the highest of quality while keeping cost down by painting in-house in lieu of outsourcing. Where the vision has taken us is the ability to paint custom colors to meet all our customer’s needs.
